Every child deserves to feel safe, confident, and capable in the water. Our Safari Kids program is designed to meet swimmers where they are whether it's their very first lesson or they’re preparing for a swim team.


With structured, engaging lessons and a supportive environment, your child will develop essential swimming skills while having fun. Each level is carefully designed to build confidence and ability, helping swimmers experience the excitement of progress.


At every step, our certified instructors provide encouragement and expert guidance, making sure that every child learns at their own pace.

Getting Comfortable in the Water

Happy Hippos 1


Requirements:

  • 4-12 years old
  • No experience required


Goals Mastered:

  • Comfortable submerging face for three seconds
  • Assisted back float
  • Introduction to self-rescue

Buoyancy & Balance in the Water

Requirements:

  • Comfortable submerging face for three seconds
  • Comfortable in an assisted back float


Goals Mastered:

  •  Independent glide with a submerged face (two to three body lengths)
  •  Assisted swim to float
  •  Assisted self-rescue

Propulsion & Survival Floating

Requirements:

  •  Independent glide with a submerged face (two to three body lengths)
  •  One-handed back float


Goals Mastered:

  • Paddle arms with kicking (three body lengths)
  • Survival float
  • Independent swim to float
  • Independent self-rescue

Advanced Breathing & Kicking

Requirements:

  •  Paddle arms with kicking (three body lengths)
  •  Swim to float


Goals Mastered:

  • Comfortable submerging face for three  Freestyle arms and kicking
  •  Swim-float-swim
  •  Back kicks
  •  Distance (three to six body lengths)

Beginner Freestyle & Backstroke

Requirements:

  • Freestyle arms and kicking (three body lengths)
  • Swim-float-swim

  •  Beginner backstroke

Introduction to Olympic Strokes

  •  Beginner freestyle with side breathing
  •  Beginner backstroke


Goals Mastered:

  •  Olympic-style freestyle

  •  Introduction to breaststroke
  •  Treading water

Building Endurance & Stroke Mastery

Terrific Tigers 2


Requirements:

  •  Freestyle with strong technique
  •  Backstroke with control
  •  Breaststroke with proper form


Goals Mastered:

  •  Butterfly technique
  •  Endurance—ability to swim 4 laps of all four strokes
  •  Olympic-style breaststroke
  •  Introduction to diving

Swim Team Prep - Mastering All 4 Strokes

Amazing Alligators


Requirements:

  • Proficiency in all 4 Olympic strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly)


Goals Mastered:

  •  Full Individual Medley (IM) proficiency
  •  Freestyle stamina (5 minutes continuous swimming)
  •  Backstroke and breaststroke proficiency (100 yards)
  •  Butterfly proficiency (50 yards)
