At Swimming Safari, we believe that every child deserves the chance to learn lifesaving swim skills—regardless of their financial situation. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Hope Floats Foundation, a national nonprofit working to reduce childhood drownings by providing swim lesson scholarships to families in need.

This mission is deeply personal to us.

In memory of Eric Bass a cherished member of the Swimming Safari family  we created the Eric Bass Swim Lesson Scholarship Fund. Eric’s love for the water and the joy he brought to those around him continue to inspire our efforts every day.

While Hope Floats provides the national platform, 100% of the scholarship funds we award are raised locally through the generous support of our community. Every donation made to Swimming Safari’s scholarship fund goes directly toward helping a child in our area gain the confidence and skills to be safer in and around water.

About Hope Floats Foundation

Hope Floats partners with over 200 swim schools across 31 states, including Swimming Safari, to provide need-based scholarships for children who qualify for free or reduced lunch programs.

• Scholarships cover three months of swim lessons
• Families contribute a small portion to support participation and commitment
• Hope Floats handles eligibility screening and approval, so funds reach those who need them most

How to Apply

Applying is easy. Just visit our Hope Floats Scholarship page and complete the online application. Once submitted, the Hope Floats Foundation will review your eligibility and notify you of your status.
