Terms & Conditions

When signing up for swimming lessons, students must make at least a one month commitment, allowing for optimal learning time for the students. Tuition is due on the 25th of the month prior to the new lessons. If payment is not received by the 25th then your scheduled time will be made available to those on the SWIMMING SAFARI SWIM SCHOOL waitlist. Returned checks will be charged an additional $25 for insufficient funds. SWIMMING SAFARI SWIM SCHOOL charges an annual Family Registration Fee of $35 for new families and $20 for returning families starting in March of each year. The registration fee is non-refundable.

If you sign up your child for a group lesson or a semi-private lesson and they are the only student in the class, SWIMMING SAFARI SWIM SCHOOL reserves the right to:

  • Change the time of the class
  • Shorten the length of instruction time (15-20 minutes)
  • Cancel the class

SWIMMING SAFARI SWIM SCHOOL advises parents or guardians to discuss our program with your physician prior to beginning lessons. All students 3 years old and younger are required to wear a reusable swim diaper.

If there is a question or concern regarding a lesson, the parent must notify SWIMMING SAFARI SWIM SCHOOL within one week of the lesson in question so that we can address the matter. (Make-up policy will apply. Please see below.)

In the event of inclement weather (i.e. thunder or lightning) most outdoor pools will close and will not re-open until thirty minutes from the last sight of lightning or sound of thunder. SWIMMING SAFARI SWIM SCHOOL will try to call you at least thirty minutes prior to your lesson if your lesson has been cancelled. Please see our Make-Up Policy for details on how to make-up a lesson due to weather.

Make-Up Policy

Make-up classes will be made up in the event that SWIMMING SAFARI SWIM SCHOOL cancels a lesson due to inclement weather or similar discretion. Please note our inclement weather policy does not apply to indoor facilities. SWIMMING SAFARI SWIM SCHOOL will contact the parent/ swimmer initially to reschedule the canceled lesson. However, if the parent cannot commit at the time of the initial call, the parent has until noon on the immediately following Friday to reschedule the lesson. This lesson must be made-up within two weeks according to the schedules available.

Students are permitted two personal (not weather-related) make-ups per month and must follow the procedure below. If additional make-up lessons are needed, SWIMMING SAFARI SWIM SCHOOL will charge an additional $10 per lesson. It is the responsibility of the parent to call SWIMMING SAFARI SWIM SCHOOL within two weeks to reschedule the make-up lesson; failure to do so will result in a forfeited lesson. If absences are planned in advance (i.e. vacation) those missed lessons can be made in advance as well.

  • Call Out – If your child cannot be at their scheduled lesson, a two hour notice is required in order for the lesson to be made up.
  • Missed Lessons – If you do not call and do not show up for your lesson, the lesson is considered a no-show. This lesson cannot be made up.
  • Make-up Lessons – If you called out in the allotted time period, you have two weeks from the missed lesson to make-up the lesson.
